Stanchion EPS got involved with the Woolworths EFS in early 2001. The involvement at that stage was a project to provided PIN based Debit Card functionality to Woolworth's customers.
This was a three stage process:
1. The commissioning of a Postilion switch with both Host and Bank authorization for 1st party switching.
2. The integration of the legacy POS application to eSocket.POS in a server type architecture as an interim measure until the second stage.
3. The integration of the new POS application to eSocket.POS in a till type architecture. Using Stanchion EPS's development professional services. |
The success of this projects led to a number of changes to the Woolworths partnership:
- The complete outsourcing of the Woolworths EFS using Stanchion's Oculus product allowing strategic control to remain with Woolworths.
- The successful completion of a Utility sales project with eCentricSwitch. Which included the commissioning of Postilion Office product for utility reconciliation.
- A number of changes to Woolworths authorizers and Postilion Service pack upgrades while maintaining high Postilion availability over the 5 year period.
- The implementation of a comprehensive POS availability monitoring solution available to Oculus/POS contract clients.
